Loan Chabanol is a visual artist from Paris. She developed her early skills training with artist Bernard Bistes in the South of France. Life took her on a different path at 16, when she entered a modeling career while continuing to paint and draw between shoots and travels — her dreams, her loves, and her struggles. She always knew her true calling was in art.In 2013, a New York curator discovered her work and invited her to participate in a group show “ Art meets Fashion” in Brooklyn, giving her the opportunity to express the journey of a character she had long carried within her — accompanied by a poem and a book completing the exhibition.

In 2015, she created her first solo show, “Born in Blue,” using immersive technology to express a bird’s journey through life, showcasing a series of watercolor paintings and a short animation film.

In 2018, she continued her journey in Los Angeles at Show Gallery, presenting a double series of mixed media works called “Namsis,” exploring the shape of meditation and the transformative journey of the human being. That same year, a second group show, “We Rise,” selected her work, placing her alongside some of the most significant artists of her generation.

In 2019, she fulfilled a long-held dream by writing and illustrating a children’s book, Blueboo, depicting the journey of a blue monster meeting with the last caterpillar left in their home forest. Chabanol continued exploring the evolution of the senses with a cotton candy acrylic series showcased in 2022 through the online exhibition Shockbox — following a little girl through chaotic situations as she searches for light within darkness.

In 2025, she presented a series of twelve pieces at the Tamsen Gallery in Santa Barbara. The show, “Reminiscence,” opens at a particular moment in her life — the loss of her father — and the solace she found in the company of horses. To bring all these creative disciplines together, Chabanol founded Mika Girl Studio, a space that gathers her work across painting, immersive art, animation, and performance. The studio is a place for wonder, where imagination has no limits and everyone is welcome.

Moving fluidly between mediums, Loan Chabanol continues to create work that invites audiences into a world where storytelling, emotion, and artistic experimentation converge.
